- "I am so infinitely happy that he loves me so much, and I pray that it will always be like this. It won't be my fault if he ever stops loving me."
- —Eva Braun about Hitler
Although she lacked her husband's illogical hatred and total disregard for humanity, she stood by him and supported his every decision.
She committed suicide with her husband in the bunker on April 30th, 1945 by taking a cyanide pill.
- She was hated by Martin Bormann whom she called an "over-sexed toad" and also hated Hitler's dog Blondi.
- Following her death, Bormann was the one of carried her body. Erich Kempka was forced to take Braun's body away from Bormann and insisted on carrying it up himself, remarking that Bormann was carrying Braun "like a sack of potatoes".
- There are some conflicting reports over Eva's reaction to the execution of Hermann Fegelein, according to Otto Günsche (Hitler's adjutant) said she refused to speak on his behalf but Traudl Junge (Hitler's secretary) stated that Eva was pleading to Hitler for Hermann's life.
