Jeroboam was a Biblical villain and the king of the Kingdom of Israel where ten of the twelve tribes lived. He was the son of Nebat. He was a strong and brave man, but he was no more righteous than his Jewish counterpart Rehoboam. Like Rehoboam, he never listened to anything prophets told him, and he would make his people worship his idols.
He always fought in wars against Rehoboam, explaining the rivalry between Jews and Samaritans.
